Wells Road & Vining Hill Road, as well as Moosehorn Road, will be undergoing reconstruction this summer. There will be base layer work as well as installation of black top. There may be times during this process when road closures are required, but DPW will provide residents with as much notice as possible.
The work is beginning in July and will end in August. There have been weather-related delays to this process. The regular work schedule for this project is 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The work may cause delays; during this time, we ask for your patience and cooperation as there may be times when you cannot get past the train of equipment. Flaggers will be in place to control traffic during the paving process.
You can help facilitate the work by:
- Keeping parked cars off the roadway between the working hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This includes any contractor or landscaper vehicles.
- Avoid making sharp turns on the new product with mowers, trucks or any other equipment.
- Marking and clearly identifying any lawn sprinklers that are installed within in 12 feet of the pavement.
- Keeping pets and children away from construction work and equipment.
For questions about the process, call Granby Public Works during regular business hours at (860) 844-5241.
