Affordable Housing Plan Committee
The committee shall prepare an Affordable Housing Plan pursuant to the requirements of Section 8-30j of Connecticut General Statutes.

Board of Education
The Granby Board of Education (BOE) is composed of seven members elected for four-year terms by the registered voters of the Town of Granby. The Board is responsible both to the local community and to state government to maintain "good public elementary and secondary schools" and to "implement the educational interests of the State” as defined in Section 10-4a of the Connecticut General Statutes.

The Board of Finance shall consist of six (6) members each of whom is elected for a term of four years.

Board of Selectmen
The legislative power of the town is vested in the Board of Selectmen as provided in the Town Charter.

Charter Revision Commission
A nine-member Charter Revision Commission has been established composed of three members each from registered Republican, Democrat, and Unaffiliated residents, and are instructed to consider such revisions to the Granby Town Charter as they deem appropriate and to submit a report of their recommendations to the Board of Selectmen in sufficient time for the proposed charter revision question(s) to be placed on the November 7, 2023, election ballot.

Commission on Aging
The Commission on Aging is established by an ordinance as a nine-member commission appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The commission proposes and evaluates programs and services for the elderly in the community, and assists the town staff in the development, initiation, coordination, and implementation of programs and services for the elderly.

Conservation Commission
The Conservation Commission is established by an ordinance. The commission consists of seven members. The purpose of the Conservation Commission is to formulate policies governing the preservation and protection of the Town's natural resources, and to develop, coordinate, study and promote matters of environmental protection, as assigned or requested.

Democratic Town Committee
The Democratic Town Committee meets once a month on the third Thursday of the month, usually at the Police Department Community Room.

Development Commission
The Development Commission is established by an ordinance. The commission consists of six members. The primary purpose of the Development Commission is to promote quality economic development, including industrial and commercial. Specific goals include the best utilization of available land and to foster a positive economic climate in the Town.

Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission
The Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission reviews and grants wetlands permits and makes declaratory rulings regarding development activities within designated wetlands or within a 100-foot buffer zone of the wetlands.

Juvenile Review Board
Juvenile Review Board (JRB) is a community-based diversion process for youth that may otherwise be referred to the Juvenile Court for minor violations of the law.

Library Board
The Library Board is organized by the Town Ordinance "Establishing A Town-Wide Library System". It is a Town-appointed committee. The board consists of nine members. The duties of the Library Board are to be responsible for the library service in the Town of Granby; establishing standards of library operation, and planning and implementing improvements of library services.
