[ARCHIVED] Community Design Workshops - Granby Center Advisory Committee

gcac design workshops 3.2024 (1)

Join the Granby Center Advisory Committee for an opportunity to engage in the Design Thinking Process and have your voice heard as we work together as a community.

Please join us for a community design workshop where we will have interactive public input stations that are designed to obtain your thoughts and perspective. This workshop will be an opportunity to have fun and engage in the design process! All ages are encouraged and welcomed. The events will be in an open house format where you can do each interactive station at your own pace. We will also have food samples from local businesses.

The Granby Center Advisory Committee is committed to including all stakeholders in our process. To do this, we need help from the community. If you live in Granby, work in Granby, or utilize the businesses in the Center, we want to hear from you (a complete list of example stakeholder groups we wish to hear from is listed below). In short, if you are interested in showing up, we’re interested in gathering your thoughts!

"The goal of the Granby Town Center Study is to provide a framework that supports a connected, healthy, vibrant, and resilient Center for businesses, residents, and visitors that aligns with Granby’s Plan of Conservation and Development.”

Workshops will be facilitated by Granby Residents and Committee members Meg Jabaily (Design for Human Health Consultant) and John Oates (longtime resident).

Time, Date(s), and location:

Saturday, March 23rd, 1-3 pm at the Senior Center

Wednesday, March 27th, 5-7 pm at the Senior Center

If you are unable to attend any of the events or would prefer to send your thoughts in an email format, please email gcac@granby-ct.gov. All emails will be sent, unedited, to the committee members. A survey instrument will be available after the first session to ensure broad stakeholder participation.
