The Tax Office would like to remind residents that all Supplemental Motor Vehicle taxes and the second installment of Real Estate and Personal Property taxes became due and payable as of January 1, 2024. Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax bills, for cars newly registered after October 1, 2022, but before September 2023, were mailed on December 27. Bills for Real Estate and Personal Property taxes were mailed last June and have tear-off sections for the January installment.
Taxpayers who have questions about their bill should contact the Tax Office at 860-844-5315 or access their bill information at this link. Taxes may be paid by mail, online (fees apply), or at the tax office at 15 N. Granby Road. A secure drop-box is affixed to the wall outside the front door of Granby Town Hall and can be used 24/7.
Payments must be postmarked by February 1, 2024, or hand-delivered by 4 p.m. on February 1, to be considered on time. Late payments are subject to interest of 3% after February 1, and an additional 1.5% per month thereafter.
