State Project No. 0055-0145 Replacement of Bridge No. 04525
SIMSBURY ROAD over WEST BRANCH SALMON BROOK
GRANBY, CT
April 10, 2025, 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow an open discussion of any views and comments concerning the proposed improvements. A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation.
The purpose of this project is to address structural and geometric deficiencies of Bridge No. 04525 which carries Simsbury Road over West Branch Salmon Brook in the Town of Granby.
Right-of-way impacts are associated with the proposed improvements including partial takes, slope easements, temporary construction easements and rights.
Construction is expected to start in 2027, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $7.3 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
