There are 3 voting options to choose from for this upcoming General Election election. The options are:
A. Early Voting OR
B. Absentee Ballot OR
C. Election Day Voting
A new option for voting in 2024 is early voting. Early voting may only be done in-person, not via mail or drop box. Once an early voting ballot is cast, it cannot be changed. Unlike absentee ballots, no specific reason is needed to choose early voting.
Early voters will be verified as an eligible voter. The voter will receive a ballot with an envelope. After marking the ballot, the ballot will be sealed, and the sealed envelope will be placed in a secure ballot box. At that time, the election official will record that you've cast your ballot, preventing you from voting early at any other location or time, submitting an absentee ballot, or voting on Election Day. These early voting ballots will be secured and unopened until Election Day.
There will be 14 days of early voting for this General Election, starting Monday, October 21, and ending Sunday, November 3. The early voting will be from 10 am to 6 pm every day, except for Oct. 29 and Oct. 31, which will be from 8 am to 8 pm.
If you do not wish to vote early, you can still choose to vote either using an absentee ballot, if qualified, or choose to vote in-person on Election Day (November 5) as usual.
